Aughafin Cemetery
Aughafin Cemetery has been in use since about 1896. If you click the link below you will be brought to a partial listing of the graves in that Cemetery. Because there is a lot of information I divided it up into 3 pages, but it's still quite large, so please be patient.
I should also explain something about this list. Firstly it's incomplete. It was begun by my father while he was supervisor for a Parish 'back-to-work' scheme and there seems to be no interest in completing this task. The reference numbers after items is a reference to a map of the graveyard that was to go with the project.
Names were taken as they were from the headstones. No years were taken. The page is roughly broken up into addresses. probably the best way to look for something on the page is to use the Find in page option on your Edit menu(Netscape and Explorer). Spellings can be trick so try with a few letters rather that the whole word. You will notice spaces between groups of names, each group of names, or single entry, corresponds to one headstone. Ideally this should be in a database format, however I have neither the time nor the resources to do this. If you wish to ask anything, feel free to email me.
